After contributing more than ten years to the Dallas/Fort Worth music scene, Jaime Reyes shows no signs of slowing down.  Performing with some of Dallas' best musicians and with a continued national tour schedule with The 3 Redneck Tenors, Jaime has remained a constant musician performing in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Born in El Paso, Texas, Jaime began playing drums at an early age, and at the age of 17 he moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area to attend the University of Texas at Arlington, to study music.  During his time at UTA Jaime was able to study with Dr. Michael Varner, Jim Yakas, Jeff Ausdemore, Ed Stephan, Adonis Rose, and Mike Drake.
While working towards his undergraduate degree, Jaime began performing locally with jazz, blues, rock and country musicians.  While attending UTA, Jaime was able to tour Europe in the summer of 1999, and perform at the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam, Netherlands, with the UTA Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Bill Snodgrass.
In 2003, Jaime began work as a drummer for various musical theatre companies around Dallas/Fort Worth.  Some of the musicals he has played include, The Wild Party, Guys and Dolls, Bat Boy, Tommy, and The Great American Trailer Park - The Musical; these local productions led to his work with The 3 Redneck Tenors.
When not on the road, Jaime continues to perform regularly around Dallas/Fort Worth with the Jaime Reyes Trio, which includes pianist Dan Cavanagh, and bassist Brian Mulholland.
In addition to his many diverse playing situations, Jaime has always remained a faithful student of jazz.  He often highlights his drumming with impulsive eruptions of rock emotion.  With a deep grounding of time and rhythm, Jaime's drumming comes alive through many styles and genres.  With the tools of education, world travel and performing, Jaime has established himself as a drummer, student, teacher, and performer of music.
